CELTIC fans may not have seen much of him but Marian Shved managed to get some game time on Thursday evening during Ukraine’s 1-0 win against Estonia.

Shved came on as a second half substitute, replacing the captain Andriy Yarmolenko on the 66th minute. The Celtic winger did ok but you can tell he is rusty from not having much game time over the past five months.

In-fact, Marian hasn’t started a game of football since May this year for his old club Karpaty Liviv.

So far he has had 35 minutes of first team football with Celtic but has already managed to find the net once.

The player has not made an impression on Neil Lennon to this point and he’s willing to play the players who give him the most in training. Jeremie Frimpong will testify to that.

It doesn’t help James Forrest is the man keeping Marian out of the side, the Scottish winger in top form.

Will his international boost help Shved’s chances of some game time in the coming weeks?
