Marian Shved had admitted he can’t give his teammates any inside information on Celtic because it’s a brand new team from when he was at the club.

Shved signed under Rodgers, but was managed under Neil Lennon who never saw anything much in the Ukrainian at the time.

The winger’s time at the club wasn’t the best at all. He had his injury problems and constant reports about his lack of application in the training ground.

Since leaving Celtic, Shved has done well. He forced a move to Shakhtar Donestsk just before the summer transfer window closed and already has three goals to his name – two of which came against Leipzig.

While he’ll be looking to prove his old club wrong, there’s nothing he can take from his Celtic experience into Wednesday’s tie.

Celtic know they have to be at their best. If they can’t bring their top game against Shakhtar they’ll quickly know all about it.
