It’s being reported today that Feyenoord have entered the race to sign Celtic target Mario Vuskovic.

Celtic have been linked with the defender for over a month but have seemingly made no real progress in trying to land the centre-back. The trail went cold a few weeks ago and it’s safe to say Celtic have not been in touch with Hajduk Split for some time.

It was at the end of June, SunSport reported the deal was closer for Vuscovic to Celtic.

RecordSport report Feyenoord are very interested and they’ve been quoted around the £4.5m mark for his services.

If the Dutch club have their eye on Mario, it’s only a matter of time before he’s off the market.

There have been so many talented players the club have passed up on over the last few years, it would be no surprise to see another one get away.

Mario, 19, looks like a player who can come in and hit the ground running, having first team experience already.

The club have been linked with a whole host of players at this point with nothing coming of any of it.

Right now, we’re about to walk into a qualifier with mostly last season’s squad. It’s not a good place to be.

  1. Here we go a frekin’ gain. Is this another player to slip through our fingers? Lets sell the players who don’t want to be here or want to advance their prospects. This is just another verse of “Tell me the old, old story”
