CELTIC have been linked with Manchester City left-back Josh Wilson-Esbrand, according to a report from The Express.

This is the third City player that the hoops have been linked to this week, with defensive duo Ko Itakura and Taylor Harwood-Bellis said to be on the Parkhead club’s watchlist.

As for the latest link, Josh Wilson-Esbrand, he’s a well-thought prospect by the Citizens and has even made a first-team appearance, albeit t it was in a Carabao Cup match against Wycome. He bagged an assist in the 6-1 victory in this match.

He’s been a mainstay in the PL2 side, the youth Premier League, making fourteen appearances and contributing to two goals.

Aged 19, he’s an international with the England U20s, making his debut last November.

Manchester City lured the player to their academy in 2019, joining from West Ham.

It’s undoubtedly an exciting link, one to keep an eye on for sure. Celtic has always had a good relationship with Man City, with countless players joining the club from the Premier League champions.

With Mark Lawwell at Celtic, the relationship will get stronger. Meaning moves like this have a great chance of going through.
