MARK WILSON believes the next Celtic appointment has to be on point if they want to win fans back on side and get their hands on a large season ticket windfall.

Speaking during the Huddle podcast on Tuesday afternoon, the former Celtic defender thinks it’s imperative who comes in captures the imagination of the support and helps the disillusioned fans buy back into what the club is doing.

In terms of od specifics, Wilson believes even the right director of football appointment could have a profound effect on the mood.

Speaking about the rumours, the former Glasgow Derby winner spoke about the possibility of Fergal Harkin coming in as DoF under Dominic McKay – Read here for more information on Fergal.

Right now, Wilson knows the fans will be very wary of parting with cash when things are going well, never mind when the club needs to rebuild and has been less than forthcoming with information and transparency.

Citing the review Celtic promised not being forthcoming to this point,

“Season ticket money is a huge ask in this current climate. The appointment needs to be spot on to give any hope.

“I think the Celtic fans feel they have been let down and disappointed, it’s come to February and there’s still no review”

  1. Ha ha, who really cares. As long as he Green stamps, a new management appointment, to have a endless supply of ready cash tabled to buy players from. Been going backwards since John Stein. No matter what statistics say. Fed up paying, and only getting more and more excuses. Time for change. The time is now. Not in three years.
