Simon Jordan has floated the possibility of Martin O’Neill returning to the Premier League amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Celtic legend’s future.

O’Neill remains in discussions with Celtic after rescuing the club twice during one of the most chaotic seasons in recent memory and somehow delivering another domestic double.
The 74-year-old is still firmly in contention to remain permanently at Celtic Park in some capacity, whether as manager or potentially in a wider football role.
But now Jordan believes O’Neill could even attract interest from England again.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan suggested the veteran manager should be considered by Fulham following Marco Silva’s reported exit.
Jordan said:
“The interesting thing will be what do Fulham want to do?
“That might sound very left-field, but you’ve got Martin O’Neill back in the management world.
“Why wouldn’t Martin O’Neill be considered as somebody that could do a very decent job at Fulham?”
It is certainly an intriguing suggestion, but whether O’Neill would be up for it or not remains to be seen.
O’Neill’s work at Celtic this season reminded many people why he became one of Britain’s most respected managers during previous spells with Celtic, Leicester City, Aston Villa and the Republic of Ireland.
Beyond the tactical side, perhaps his biggest achievement this season was stabilising an increasingly fractured football club.
Celtic were dealing with board protests, supporter unrest, managerial chaos and serious pressure in the title race – yet O’Neill somehow unified the dressing room and guided the club to both the league and Scottish Cup.
Whether he actually wants the intensity of another full-time managerial role remains another question entirely though.
O’Neill himself has repeatedly admitted publicly that he still needs time to think carefully about his future after an exhausting campaign.
