CELTIC sprung a few surprises with their reserve starting XI this afternoon with the inclusion of three players in particular.

The bhoys have handed a low key debut to Vakoun Bayo but that’s not the most surprising name on the Celtic reserve squad.

Marvin Compper has also started the game against Falkirk in the Reserve League along with Scott Allan who is getting a run out with the team.

Compper and Allan have been available before now and have not been included in reserve league games. It could be merely to give them minutes in anticipation of leaving the club.

Marvin has only played 83minutes of first team football for Celtic since joining the club which was over a year ago.

For Bayo, it’s all about getting match fit. The new Celtic signing was set to make his first team debut for the club on Wednesday night against Hibernian, but a late injury to Emilio Izaguirre meant Celtic had to use their final sub to replace the defender.

Bayo can’t be too far away from making his full debut.

The game is currently at half time at Cappielow with the score at 1-1. Jack Aitchison equalised for Celtic late in the first half.
