CELTIC have been handed somewhat of a Europa League boost with reports in Russia claiming Zenit will be without former Chelsea man Branislav Ivanovic for the trip to Celtic Park.

Roberto Mancine was keen to include the player in his squad, but it appears after assessing his latest injury and recovery the game at Celtic Park comes just too soon.

Celtic will take any help they can get with their own injury list at the moment that has seen several pivotal players miss out on a lot of action.

The club will still be without Patrick Roberts, Dedryk Boyata, Stuart Armstrong and most likely Tom Rogic now that he hasn’t got any meaningful game time before Thursday’s crunch tie.

Celtic will be looking to win their first European game in 11 attempts at home out with the Champions League qualifiers.

It’s going to be a nervy night at Celtic Park.
