There’s no love lost between Celtic and Sky Sports at the minute.

The Alfredo Morelos interview which was poorly translated and published by the broadcaster has left a bitter taste in the mouth. It also has the club at odds with Sky with a complaint at Ofcom being investigated.

Even before this incident though, you’d be hard pressed to find many Celtic fans who would praise Sky Sports for their coverage of Scottish Football.

The constant talking down of our game by pundits who have their own agendas and just amateur takes on our game is pretty pitiful.

However, Sky Sports actually got praise from some quarters of the Celtic support on Sunday during the 2-1 win away to Aberdeen.

Instead of the nauseating combo of Kris Commons and Kris Boyd, Sky Sports had John Hartson and James McFadden in the studio. Something a bit different and welcome which didn’t go unnoticed.

The fear is this could just be a one-off and we return to the status quo for the remainder of the season. BT Sports have proved you can earn praise across the board if you have the right coverage and pundits. Will Sky take a leaf out of their book going forward?
