It could be a big night for Scott Sinclair with the news that Moussa Dembele is out for three weeks.

The midfielder has looked sharp and more like his old self in pre-season BUT Rodgers had effectively relegated the Englishman to the B team during that time – playing with more fringe players and youngsters rather than the first XI.

With Rodgers opting to play two up front in the first two qualifiers, Sinclair has had to bide his time with cameo appearances in the first two games.

Could tonight be the night he re-announces himself to the Celtic faithful?

Rosenborg come to town with a plan to try and stifle this Celtic side who are patched up due to injuries and suspension.

It’s not a given the double treble winner will start yet, there’s also the wildcard that Tom Rogic is fit and available for selection.

If the past is anything to go by though, Rodgers is more likely to go with the player with the more days behind him in training.

This would be Scott’s time to shine, helping to feed Odsonne Edouard and show he can be a creative spark in the team again.

The stats from last year look impressive when you think of how off form and jaded the star looked – to the point Brendan Rodgers commented on it in this pre-season.

55 appearances with 18 goals and 17 assists to his name last term. If he improves on his performance there’s certainly good times ahead for Celtic.
