Celtic are due to take on Inverness in the Scottish Cup final next month with Ange Postecoglou looking to become a treble winning Hoops manager.

A kick off time of 3pm looked likely but on Wednesday, it was confirmed the match will begin at the rather unusual time of 5.30pm.

This has caused controversy among supporters but the SFA are refusing to budge.

On the new start time, Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley said to Clyde 1:

“I’ve no real reaction, I don’t mind.

“I guess because it’s a bit later we get to sleep a bit more so that’s one positive.

“For me personally, it’s another game at a different time of day. If you win it, you still win a trophy so that’s the main thing.”

Clearly, the Dane is unmoved but for Inverness fans, it certainly is inconvenient.

Also, if Celtic are to win, they will likely get their hands on the treble.

Due to this, the club will want to plan an open top bus parade.

With a 5.30pm start, said event may not be possible.

This is disappointing for the Hoops although if they do a domestic clean sweep, celebrations will be widespread nonetheless.
