Well, we already know of one change that Brendan Rodgers will need to make to his starting 11 at Fir Park. Moussa Dembele has been ruled out after a ridiculous tackle that has eluded the mainstream news somehow.

For the first fifty minutes against Motherwell, Celtic weren’t firing on all cylinders. But a good halftime team talk motivated the bhoys, James Forrest bagged himself a cracking goal to put the Hoops on the road to another trophy.

Less then ten minutes later and the game was over. The press have tried to make out that a wrong decision by the referee cost Motherwell a dream, the reality is they were nowhere even close to beating Celtic. They managed to test Craig Gordon once. Their keeper Carson played superbly to keep the score down to 2-0.

The media myth that Celtic were in a proper game against a threatening Motherwell side cannot be further from the truth. The narrative of a soft penalty suits Motherwell as no one is asking why the second most in-form team in Scotland capitulated with an uninspired performance in a cup final.

Callum McGregor, James Forrest, and Paddy Roberts were all unplayable; every time they got on the ball, they looked menacing.

It’s absurd Celtic have to play Motherwell three times in six days, but imagine how Motherwell feel. The Steelmen are up against the best team in Scotland and whether they like it or not, we’re in their heads.

Does Brendan Rodgers need to make any changes going into the game?

Apart from Griffiths in for Dembele he can just leave things as they were and make sure Celtic get off to a better start this time around.

You can be sure we’ll see more reckless challenges from a disgruntled bunch of players. Let’s hope Mrs Lasley isn’t watching!
