Celtic look to be active in the transfer market now the season is over.

Nicky Hammond has been tasked with overhauling Celtic’s recruitment and bringing in top young players for Neil Lennon’s side.

Top, in the know journalist, Stephen McGowan, is reporting this morning in today’s MailSport, the club is very interested in signing Reading midfielder Michael Olise from Reading.

Olise, 18, has made 14 appearances for his club this season before the shutdown and has impressed. He fits into the type of signings Celtic want to make and gives options in midfield.

Michael was a former Chelsea youth star before making the move to Reading.

Hammond was the former football director at Reading and may have been tipped off about Michael from people he knows from his days at the club.

It’s hard to see an 18-year-old coming into Celtic and taking a place in the midfield at present, considering the talent the club has in that area.
