Celtic midfielder David Turnbull has insisted that Ange Postecoglou’s squad are ready to take the game to opponents ahead of a huge week for the club.

This week, the Hoops take on AZ Alkmaar and Glasgow rivals Rangers in some potentially season-defining fixtures.

As reported by the Daily Record, Turnbull believes that Postecoglou’s squad are ready to face any squad in their way as they look to continue playing the impressive attacking style of play that we have seen in recent weeks.

He said: “It’s a huge week for us, and we’ll focus on Thursday first. They’re a good side; they played well here.

“We have to combat that and play the way we know we can. We want to get the result we need to qualify.

“We feel we’re ready to go and win both games. It’s a huge week, Thursday, Sunday, against two good teams.

“But the way we’re playing at the moment, we fancy ourselves against anyone.

“It’s just about taking that into the games, and we’re looking forward to it.

“The manager won’t change the way we’re playing for these two games. This is the way we want to play.

“He’s drilled that into us, so we’ll go and play the way we have been looking to get a result.”

In the form that this current squad is in, fans and players will be looking forward to taking on most opponents we are due to face in the coming weeks.

It is a feeling that many supporters have missed over the past year or so, both due to the form we have seen and being locked outside of stadiums last season.

This week could send out a real statement to sides around us this campaign. Fingers crossed the squad can keep up the form of late, heading into these fixtures.
