Not everyone can be a success at Celtic, even if they have a bit about them it’s not always going to be a guarantee that you make your mark anywhere. This will ring true for Wakaso Mubarak as he heads for the Celtic Park exit door.

The midfielder came in and looked like he would be the one to inject pace into a team that had a lack of any real bite. For a moment he did do that, even scoring a goal in the 2-2 draw with Salzburg in the Europa League.

Between injury’s and opportunities it just hasn’t panned out for the midfielder. He helped Ghana to the African Nations Cup Final, scoring in the Semi-final and even converting in the penalty shoot-out in the final before losing harshly to Ivory Coast. By the time he came back from that tournament Celtic had signed GMS and Stuart Armstrong consigning the player to the stands.

He now returns to Rubin Kazan where he is not expected to stay beyond this summer. It is reported that Monaco along with a handful of Spanish sides are interested in the midfielders services.

We wish him all the best wherever he ends up.
