MIKAEL LUSTIG has confirmed he suffered a ‘little concussion’ in Celtic’s 2-1 defeat to Salzburg on Thursday night.

The defender was left motionless on the ground after defending a corner in the first half, the physio took him through the concussion procedure and he passed to get back onto the field.

However, Lustig told Aftonbladet the manager did not want to risk him any further an was substituted for the returning Ajer.

“I think it’s a little concussion. There’s a bit of a headache today, but I’m feeling good.”

“I felt good when we talked and remembered everything. I said I could play on. But then they made the decision to replace me.”

Celtic also lost Ryan Christie to injury during the game with the player confirmed as using crutches to leave Parkhead on Thursday night.

Brendan Rodgers said they’ll know more about the midfielder’s injury once they get full scan results.

However, rumours of a fracture seem to be wide of the mark.
