Mikey Johnston is reportedly being targeted by Burnley as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming EFL season.

The 24-year-old showed flashes of revival during a loan spell at West Brom last season, where he netted seven goals in 20 appearances and some of them were absolute screamers.
Despite these promising displays, Johnston’s situation at Celtic remains precarious.
Rodgers, who is actively seeking reinforcements across multiple positions including a striker, a midfielder, and additional competition at left-back, appears ready to move on from Johnston. This reshuffle at Celtic has opened the door for Burnley, with manager Scott Parker eyeing Johnston as a potential replacement for Wilson Odobert, who recently made the switch to Tottenham.
According to Pete O’Rourke, Burnley’s interest in Johnston is serious, with the winger figuring highly on Parker’s list of targets.
This move could offer Johnston a fresh start and a chance to reignite his career away from the pressures of his childhood club, where he has struggled to secure a consistent role under Rodgers’ management.

Possibly is the best level of football for Mikey Johnston, at a English championship club?
Needs to find a club where more game time is available to him, where he may eventually find some consistency in being able to finally starting to deliver?
Can’t ever see that happening with ourselves at this stage now?
Possibly will be for the best if Mikey was sold this window for everyone?
Yet it would still require ourselves to be finding yet another homegrown player?
