Celtic have a tough task on Thursday night when Milan come to town.

One man who knows all about both sides is former Celtic and Milan midfielder, Massimo Donati.

With the game approaching, the Italian has been giving a run down of what type of team Milan are at the moment.

After an indifferent season last term, Milan have started strong and top serie A at the moment with 12 points from their first four games.

They are beginning to be a force to be reckoned with again while Celtic are struggling for form.

Massimo believes the young Milan team are hungry and with Zlatan leading the way, they are going all out to prove themselves.

“The team is young and they run a lot with organisation.” Donati told RecordSport.

“Ibrahmovic is the star, of course. But he missed a couple of matches recently and they did well without him.

“The left-back Hernandez is like a train. He’s so fast. You almost hear him choo choo. Last year he scored six goals or something like that from the position.

“When he arrived in Milan, he was just a regular left-back. Now he is one of the best in the world. He’s an unbelievable talent.

“He has started this season in the same form and he’s an example of the younger ones.

“It’s not just him. There are many who are doing well and improving very quickly.

“Ibrahimovic is incredible. Players like him are born just once in 200 or 300 years! His presence on the pitch is huge.

“He doesn’t run as much these days but he’s tremendous for the attitude and mentality of those younger ones.

“They see him at the top of the pitch and think, ‘I have to run a lot for him.’ He’s like their leader.”

Celtic could still be without key player, Odsonne Edouard for the game with the striker not up to full fitness.

While Europe isn’t the number one priority, the only way to improve is to test ourselves against the rest.

It’s going to be peculiar watching a European night at Celtic Park with no supporters.
