Celtic’s Europa League opponents, AC Milan have prepared for Thursday nights group stage tie and Parkhead with a 2-1 win over rivals Inter Milan.

The Rossoneri took an early two-goal lead after 16 minutes in the game through lethal striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In that time the Swede also missed a penalty which would have seen him grab a hat-trick.

Inter managed to grab a goal back through Romelu Lukaku in the 28th minute but AC was able to hold on for the three points.

A more worrying statistic is that Celtic’s opponents are 24 games unbeaten going back to last season, including winning the last 13 in a row.

It is clear it’s going to be a tough night ahead for Celtic at Parkhead at without the support of the hoops, could make it even tougher.

Milan has some top players who are more than capable of troubling us and with it being arguably the best time to play us, they will certainly be looking to do that.
