CELTIC are said to be interested in Dutch under-21 international Milan Van Ewijk. The player is a right-back for Heerenveen, who are mid-table in the Eredivisie. So far this season, he’s played 31 times in the top flight.

Coming through Feyenoord’s youth, Milan was once tipped to be a hot prospect. There are numerous clubs linked to the player, with Celtic joining PSV, QPR, Lille and Stade Brest. [VI]

A fee of €5.5 should be enough to bring the player to Parkhead. He’s currently under contract until the summer of 2025.

The payer was linked to Celtic in the March of last year, as the club looked to replace Frimpong, who had departed in the January window. [Glasgow Live]

This shows that Celtic has been aware of the player for a long time and is keeping an eye on him this season.

Celtic has already been active in the transfer market, with Mohamed Jeaze said to be close to joining the Hoops. Now, Postecoglou is looking to strengthen the opposite side of the pitch and bring Milan Van Ewijk to push Josip Juranovic.

Juranovic has caught the eye of Leicester, but there is nothing to hint that the Croatian will be leaving Celtic Park this summer, only arriving less than twelve months ago.

Postecoglou could simply be looking to add quality depth to his squad. As much of an improvement that Tony Ralston has made this season, he lacks the quality of a Celtic standard right-back.
