The last ten or so days have seen football fans have to endure yet another international break, the second of the season.

After seven games played, the Hoops broke up yet again, and 11 first-team stars went off to represent their respective countries.
While there were some highs, like scoring a first goal in country colours, and some lows like not featuring at all, it seemed to be a decent break for all of Celtic’s squad, even the ones who didn’t travel.
Celtic did take some players to Ireland to face Sligo Rovers, but stars like Kuhn, McGregor and Kyogo all got given a few days off as fringe players secured a 3-2 win on the Emerald Isle.
Here’s a quick look at how the international stars got on:
- Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate: Both players faced challenges during their time with the national team. Reo Hatate did not make an appearance for the second consecutive international break, while Daizen Maeda was limited to just a cameo role off the bench.
- James Forrest: Forrest had to withdraw from the Scottish national team due to an injury concern, leaving the squad without one of its experienced players.
- Tony Ralston: Ralston featured in both of Scotland’s matches. He experienced a loss against Croatia but played a significant role in a commendable 0-0 draw with Portugal, marking Scotland’s first points in this Nations League.
- Kasper Schmeichel: The Danish goalkeeper faced criticism following Denmark’s defeat to Spain, making an error for the goal. He conceded two as Denmark came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Switzerland.
- Arne Engels: Engels earned his second cap for Belgium after he made his debut for his country during the last break.
- Liam Scales: The defender celebrated a milestone by scoring his first goal for Ireland in their win over Finland.
- Adam Idah: Idah made a brief appearance in Ireland’s victory over Finland.
- Viljami Sinisalo: The Goalie was an unused sub this break, facing Scales and Idah’s Ireland and England.
- Paulo Bernardo: The young midfielder scored for Portugal’s U21s, helping secure their spot in next year’s European Championships.
- Auston Trusty: Trusty had a short cameo in the USA’s 2-0 loss to Mexico.
