Speaking at Monday’s press conference, Rodgers confirmed that Nicolas Kuhn, who has missed the last two matches due to injury, returned to training and is available for selection. However, Daizen Maeda will require further assessment before a decision is made on his involvement.

“Yeah, Nicolas is back, but we’ll give Daizen one more day and see how he reacts,” Rodgers said on Celtic TV. “But yeah, good news with Nic back. Everyone else is the same.”

James Forrest remains sidelined and unavailable for the midweek fixture, continuing his recovery from a longer-term injury. Meanwhile, Luis Palma returned to training after missing the win over Ross County due to a family bereavement.

However, Palma’s involvement in the coming games appears unlikely, with the winger closing in on a loan move to La Liga side Rayo Vallecano. The deal is expected to run until the end of the 2024-25 season, including an option to buy for just over £2 million.

The news of Kühn’s return is a boost for Rodgers as Celtic contend with a gruelling schedule of three games in six days. With Maeda still doubtful and Palma’s departure imminent, Rodgers faces decisions in his attacking setup, particularly on the flanks.

Despite the busy fixture list, Celtic are riding high with an 18-point lead at the Premiership summit and will look to maintain momentum against Dundee, who recently held Rangers to a draw at Dens Park.
