We should hopefully have all the key quotes from the Celtic presser later this afternoon but the depressing update from the lads at the Cynic is a major cause for concern.

Neil Lennon has confirmed Jeremie Frimpong is abroad looking to finalise a deal away from the club. He says it’s been in the background for six or seven weeks yet the club have failed to bring in a right back.

“We received a really robust offer for him, we are disappointed to lose him but that’s football” Lennon told SkySports man Anthony Joseph.

The Celtic manager admits more players have expressed an interest to leave this month! But doubts many will go at this point in the window.

This circus needs to stop.

It truly feels like a sinking ship.

Celtic are in disarray and have a major rebuild to be getting on with. Hopefully, any money raised through wantaway transfers will be reinvested in the squad in the summer.

  1. Seems to me it’s more a question of who wants to stay!
At the end of last season this lad was the happiest at the club you could wish for, for him to want to jump ship now, especially at such a young age, speaks volumes.
At the quoted figure going around of 11mill, by the time Man City get their wack, which by all accounts is a hefty percentage, we’re going to lose out big time, both on the pitch now and with such a promising young player, in seasons to come, and in the pocket picking up whatever’s leftover.
A worrying trend, what with the Demble news and a sorry state of affairs at CP.
