We reported last night on what looked like very heavy-handed policing in Valencia with Celtic fans being attacked by Spanish police.
More footage has emerged on social media of the police coming into a bar and pulling Celtic fans out with force as they stand about.
For whatever reason, the Spanish police have been told to take a no-nonsense approach to how they deal with Celtic fans. The authorities classed this game as ‘high risk’ with the number of fans coming over, but it’s pretty clear the Spanish police are treating the Celtic fans with contempt.
We advise anyone out there or anybody heading out there today to watch themselves when it comes to the Spanish authorities and keep their wits about them. Even if you’re not doing anything wrong, if you’re in among a bunch of Celtic fans, there’s every chance you could be targeted.
