Neil Lennon has told Celtic supporters he hopes to have one or two new players in by the end of the week with the transfer window closing on Friday.

So far, Celtic have brought in Patryck Kilmala and Ismaila Soro to add to their squad this January.

With things winding down and plenty Celtic fringe players leaving on loan, there’s room for another couple of additions. Neil Lennon spoke about that possibility but did use the word ‘hopefully’.

“Hopefully we’ll be looking to bring one or two in this week.” he told CelticTV

With a striker and a midfielder in, it looks likely the Celtic boss is looking for a defender and a winger if the club can make things happen.

Celtic need some reinforcements in their backline for the rest of the season it would be great to see the club recognise this and make sure the manager has all the tools he needs to get nine in a row.

Celtic are back in control of their own destiny after the Ibrox club slipped up at the weekend.

Imsaila Soro arrived in Glasgow on Monday evening and will train with his new teammates on Tuesday.
