MORITZ JENZ made it two goals in two starts for Celtic on Sunday. Not bad for a defender!

The German centre-back has taken to Celtic like a duck to water and has made the absence of both Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh easier on the squad.

The only negative from the Sunday 5-0 rout against Killie was seeing the Jenz go off injured in the second half. The defender looked to be struggling and was taken off for the returning Starfelt who would go on to score himself.

Watching the aftermath of the game, we saw Moritz front of the queue with Kyogo celebrating in front of the fans and appeared to be moving fine.

Ange gave more cause for optimism by telling Sky Sports live after the game he think’s the defender is ‘ok’.

“I think he’s ok. I’m not sure what the actual injury was but I seen him after the game and he was moving ok” Ange said.

Jenz will be hoping to kick on and try to keep his place in the Celtic side for Hearts with Carl Starfelt now back.

It’s going to be interesting to see who Ange prefers and who will win the battle to partner CCV this season for the majority of the campaign.

Given Celtic’s involvement in four different competition, it’s safe to say all the defenders will see action.
