TONY WATT is back in Scotland after his short stint at CSKA Sofia which ended due to family reasons.

The former Celtic striker is now training with Motherwell, Stephen Robinson has confirmed. However, the Motherwell manager was quick to point out there was nothing in it in terms of a deal at this point.

The striker is local and is keeping up his fitness while Motherwell quietly run the rule over the player.

“Tony’s a local boy, a very good footballer,” Robinson told RecordSport. “We have just let him come in to train with us, use our facilities, with no real anybody wanting anything out of it at this stage.”

Tony is a good lad but he’s found a permanent home hard to come by since leaving Celtic.

We all remember him for that famous night against Barcelona but in the time proceeding that, the player has been to eight different clubs. Two in Scotland with Hearts and St Johnstone.

Could Motherwell provide the striker with a proper home and is Robinson the man to get the best out of Tony? It remains to be seen if he gets a deal.

Celtic take on Motherwell on Wednesday night at Fir Park and the former Celtic player might just be in attendance.
