Call it a rumour or call it mischief-making on the part of some but the Louis Moult to Celtic rumour is back and just in time for the two teams to face off in the cup final.
Some Celtic fans might think it would be an astute piece of business on the clubs part to sign the striker up on a free there’s still not any real interest from Celtic’s side – not yet anyway.
Celtic and Motherwell will take part in a trilogy of matches starting with this Sunday’s League Cup Final and Brendan Rodgers will be able to see Moult up close and personal.
Louis, who has scored 13 goals so far this term is having a wonderful season and will be hoping to show what he can do against Celtic.
The player knows he is in the shop window and will be going all out to try and impress.
Right now, all the rumours about the player coming to Celtic are wide of the mark.
Never say never though.

Would be a total waste of time and money wouldn’t play and would just warm the bench and end up going out on loan it would also stiffle the progress of jack aitchison who looks a real prospect the only reason we would take him is to stop him going to the dark side but we should be bigger than that HH ??

I think Molt would be an excellent signing for us.The boy scores for fun and no disrespect to Motherwell but if he can score that amount of goals playing for a team who’s form is up then down the following week then
given the amount of goal scoring chances that will come his way playing for Celtic,who knows how much he can achieve?The new Brian McClair? Scott McDonald? both prolific strikers who went from the Steelmen to Parkhead and did very well at Celtic. HAIL. HAIL.

Tom,always difficult to judge the ability of a players class,especially when player is starring for one of the provincial clubs in the league.
Moult has shown he has an eye for goal albeit at smaller clubs i.e 23 in first 27 games at Wrexham,50 in 95
appearances for Motherwell which included two in 3-4 loss to us last season,two against Aberdeen in 3-0 win in September and two in semi final win knocking out Sevco last month.So he has shown can score some wonderful goals against better opposition.
So who really knows how far he can go only 25/26 ish i think,so has time to mature and maybe become a prolific striker,hopefully for us.
Out of contract at the end of the season and being available for nothing must be worth a punt
Also scored both goals against the dons on saturday,i didn’t realise having missed Sportscene on Sunday.
With rumours oif Dembele going in January why not get another striker, he would keep Griff on his toes, and we would get him for a decent sign on fee. Hail Hail
