Moussa Dembele has been subject to a plethora of transfer rumours since he burst onto the Parkhead scene a little over two months ago. The free transfer from Fulham has been a revelation since pulling on the Hoops from scoring a hattrick in the local derby to bagging a brace against the billionaires of Manchester City.

The player hasn’t even been in the door two minutes really and the press are already planning his escape route from the Scottish Champions. Speaking about all the rumours surrounding him, the player was unequivocal in his response.

“It’s good to know that big clubs are looking at me,” said Dembele. “But so long as they know I’m a Celtic player. I’m focused on Celtic – I don’t listen too much to what anyone is saying about me.”

“My job is to get Celtic the best results possible and score as many goals as possible. Celtic is the best club for me. Not just for a few years. For a few years and more. That’s why I came here. I didn’t come here to stay just for a few years. I came here for the long term.”

This will be music to Celtic fans ears.
