Moussa Dembele has celebrated the fourth anniversary of introducing himself properly onto the Celtic scene.

It was the Glasgow Derby where the Frenchman would get the nod, only because Leigh Griffiths had suffered an injury late on and wasn’t fit to go.

Being outside the stadium as the news broke, there was a nervousness about the support after Leigh’s omission from the team. The trepidation soon turned to celebration when Moussa became the main man. The Dembelition Derby! a hat-trick from the striker helped Celtic to a 5-1 victory.

Moussa spent two seasons at Celtic but left a big impression. A lot of the supporters still follow the player’s fortunes with Lyon and Moussa always checks in to see what’s happening at his former club.

He ran riot on derby days; Panenka’s, back heel winners and chips that left some wondering what the goalie was doing.

Celtic have yet to take on their rivals this season but the first game is pencilled in for October. There’s likely to be no fans inside the ground at this rate.
