Celtic have offered utility man Charlie Mulgrew a new THREE-YEAR-DEAL.

Brendan Rodgers has been getting rid of the dead wood at Celtic Park since coming in but sees value in having a fit Charlie Mulgrew to call upon going forward.

A product of the Celtic youth system, Mulgrew hasn’t started pre-season training with the rest of the squad as he’s currently not under contract with Celtic as his deal expired last month.

The player is free to speak to any other club but we understand a deal is on the table that will see Charlie stick around for the next three years.

While there are reduced terms on the deal, they’re not significantly reduced and the long-term contract could be what seals the deal.

Charlie spent a large amount of last season injured and then out-of-favour with former Celtic boss Ronny Deila.

In total Mulgrew has played 17,081 mins in his six years at the club which equates to 185 starts & 20 sub appearances.

Is he set to revive his Celtic career under Brendan Rodgers?
