Celtic usually keep the supporters in the loop when a Celtic XI heads down south for a bounce game behind closed doors. We’ve seen in the past month, the academy account is quick to post a squad followed by updates on the game.

However, Hartlepool Mail report the club took a team down to play Middlesbrough this week.

We have no idea who went down to play the bounce game other than Daniel Arzani who was credited with Celtic’s goal.

The game ended 1-1 on the day.

Is this a sign Neil Lennon is readying Arzani for the first team or helping the Australian out with some game time before he’s shipped back to Manchester City this summer?

Arzani has been injured for most of his Celtic loan deal. Coming in under Brendan Rodgers, the winger tore his ACL during his debut and this season his rehab and recovery have made him available for selection but he’s not getting a look in.
