The transfer window hasn’t opened yet but Celtic have already been linked with a few stars and Neil Lennon has been open and honest about any names which have come up so far.
It’s all about getting the right type of players in over the next month or so to supplement a squad that’s flying for the most part.
That being said, it has been reported over the last 24 hours Celtic have made a £1.3m bid for Bnei Yehuda star Ismaila Soro.
The defensive midfielder, 21, is in high demand which prompted his current manager to declare they wouldn’t sell him unless their valuation is met according to SunSport.
Boss Yossi Abukasis said: “We will only sell Soro if we get an offer which matches our valuation.
“We know what he is worth. We know there is growing interest in him and a lot of European clubs have watched him, even just this week.”
If they do have a valuation in mind, it’s unlikely Celtic or anyone has matched it to date because there’s been seemingly no movement at this point. It’s a bit of a mystery and perhaps this report has jumped the gun over an official bid.
Clubs talk numbers all the time during transfer windows but it doesn’t mean a firm offer is on the table.
