New reports in Italy suggest Lazio HAVEN’T made any sort of approach for Dedryk Boyata to this point.

Claims earlier this week suggest Lazio may have gone over Celtic’s head and spoke to Boyata’s agents, offering him a massive wage packet without permission from the club

However, lalaziosiamonoi.it claims there has been no approach and no firm evidence supporting Lazio having a firm interest in the Belgium star.

The Celtic defender is coming to the last year of his deal, much like the departing Armstrong was – it’s felt that should he move on this summer it would have to be a for a similar fee with £6million being banded around.

The club brought Boyata to Glasgow from Manchester with former manager Ronny Deila and he’s had mixed fortunes at the club.

Since Brendan Rodgers handed him his second chance it’s safe to say he’s the Celtic manager’s first choice defender.

Celtic are still hopeful Boyata will pen a new deal once he returns from the World Cup.
