CELTIC FANS still don’t know if Neil Lennon will be able to call upon one of the veterans of the Glasgow Derby this Sunday with Mikael Lustig’s fitness unclear at this point.

The defender went off in Sweden’s game at the weekend after just 24 minutes but the player didn’t drop out the squad and return to the club like others have done. Lustig tried to shake the injury off in time for the Norway game on Tuesday but it looks like he never managed to do so, taking a place on the bench and seeing no action during the game.

Norway and Sweden played it out to a thrilling 3-3 encounter with three goals coming after the 85th minute. Lustig’s Celtic team-mate Kristoffer Ajer played the full match for the opposition.

Both men will now return to the club to hit the Lennoxtown training field in the coming days but the club will have to assess Lustig for themselves when he does arrive back in Glasgow.
