CHRIS SUTTON says he was left ‘mystified’ that Charly Musonda didn’t get any game time in the last 20 minutes of Celtic’s draw with Motherwell.

The attacking midfielder watched from the bench has the team ended the game in a 0-0 stalemate with Rodgers opting not to use the player.

Writing in his Daily Record column, Chris Sutton wants to see the Chelsea bhoy break down a packed defence.

“I’m a fan of Callum McGregor and I was also impressed with the signing of Charly Musonda, even though I’m mystified by what’s happening with him.

“Scoreless with 20 minutes to
go at Motherwell last weekend, I would have thought Rodgers might have called for the Chelsea loanee who was signed to break down packed defences.”

Charly has the whole of next season at Celtic and Rodgers is looking to ease him into the side rather than push him in head first.

The 22-year-old has undeniable talent which Celtic will take advantage of in the long trm.

  1. as i keep on saying all these would be managers think they know better than brendan , i am in no doubt that brendan has a reason for everything he does , so please leave it to him , remember trust in brendan ,

  2. Big Chris mixing it, Charly is fine. With two other players coming back from injury, it was always going to be a throw of the dice. Paddy & Stuart need to blow some cobwebs away. Like last post, all in good time, manager knows best.
