We’re nearing the end of the transfer window and every players demeanour is under the microscope more than ever.

For Odsonne Edouard, it’s par for the course as a week rarely goes by without someone commenting on his nonchalant approach to games. If he’s playing well, it’s all good, if he hits a rough patch, the noises from certain quarters is he’s not interested.

The Frenchman actually posted on Twitter mocking a comment about his Celtic interest levels after he bagged a hat-trick at the start of the season. Frank McAvennie was the target for that particular social media post.

Neil Lennon was asked about the striker’s injury status as he looked off the pace in Latvia where Celtic just managed a 1-0 win on the night to progress.

“Tonight he looked a little bit off the pace. We’ll see how he is for the weekend.” Lennon told SunSport.

“But he’s fine, there are no injury issues with him at all.”

It just looks like Eddy and a fair few of his teammates were off the boil. The same can’t be said for Jeremie Frimpong who was outstanding on the night.

  1. Frimpong was the standout player my a mile. Just shows you what can happen if you actually TRY… (addressing this to the rest of the team)
If the lad learns to shoot from just inside the box he is going to be one outstanding player

  2. Mr Edd, can only do well when the ball gets to him, supply is the key here. He can latch on to long balls or take the ball (and most midfielders/defenders) on and watch them gather up like seagulls after a trawler. But he’s not the finished article yet, even though he says he is very happy at Paradise. If he gets the chance to leave before this closure, he will go, or at Xmas. The Celtics suits, always say ‘we’re not selling him’ if some teams money agrees with their estimate. He gone, to wherever their coin takes him to.
Mr Edd would fit in any team, I’m hoping he is here to see out the ten. If not, please spend all monies on the player to replace him and much needed others.
