Neil Lennon has put to bed any notion Celtic are in the hunt for Tyrese Campbell after the player was linked with a summer move to Celtic.
Campbell, currently playing for Stoke is out of contract in the summer and weighing up his options before making his next move in football.
It’s very unlikely to be Celtic after Neil Lennon was asked about the rumours Celtic had made a play for the striker.
“That’s just speculation” Lennon confirmed on CelticTV.
The journalist asked “So you’re not in for him?”
“No” replied Lenny.
Celtic brought in Patryk Klimala this window to plug a hole in the striking department.
Campbell has been doing well for Stoke but it appears the bhoys have no interest in the player at present.
At least Neil he pure an end to speculation so there will be no silly headlines if Campbell signs somewhere else saying Celtic missed out.
The club are trying their best to get other targets in before the end of the window but with just over a week left to do business – it’s going to be tough.
