As speculation goes this has to be quite out there even for todays nonsensical social media standards. Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been named on a shortlist of candidates to take over the current vacant South Korea Job.

The Irishman left Celtic back in May after 4 successful years at the club and never denied wanting to go manage elsewhere, but I’m sure even he didn’t envision he would be on a shortlist to replace Hong Myung-bo who stepped down from his role as South Korea boss after the World Cup.

Lennon was also linked with a job in United Arab Emirates earlier this summer but that turned out as wild speculation.

However unlikely it is you will see Neil Lennon holding aloft a South Korean Jersey this time next week, it is testament to the man that people are talking about him so further afield. There is no doubt the bhoy from Lurgan has more to offer the footballing world and it will only be a matter of time before we see him grace a touchline again whether it be in South Korea, North Korea or Tanzania and any place in between.
