Celtic take on Dundee Utd at the weekend and can’t afford any more dropped points for the foreseeable future. That means the players must be at it from the off but it’s up to the manager who is allowed out onto the field and that’s where Saturday is very interesting.

Olivier Ntcham is pushing for a start in this side, Neil Lennon knows that. But who could he possible sacrifice to make it happen? We have seen what happens when you just wedge Oli into the team, we look off-balance and it doesn’t work.

Does Forrest get a rest with Christie pushed out wide or does Christie take a place on the bench? You could argue Oli could sit in where Broony is at the moment but I don’t think you’ll see many shouting for Broony not to start the game. Callum McGregor is outstanding and he would be the player who should be untouchable in that Celtic starting XI.

If Lenny goes with the same team who started against Kilmarnock, he will know a big response is needed to give the support confidence they can get it done.

Dundee Utd are back in the top flight and have had a good start. Everybody is out to stop Celtic this season and we must be at our best each and every single week.

  1. Lenny should drop Ntcham sometimes looks not interested, would go with broony all day long, time to shrug the cobwebs off Celtic and start pumpin the mutant huns in the league.HH10IAR

  2. discussing options for Dundee Utd game why not drop Forrest to the bench and play Frimpong on the wing as he will never be a full back and play Elhamed at full as Forrest gets away with murder most games hiding and never takes responsibility for his actions his passing stats of 92 is only because he passes the ball 15 yds tops my granny could do that

  3. I keep saying it – forest needs to be dropped to wake him up ! he needs competition – we have that in Frimpong a ready made winger ! keep El Hamed at right back he has the ‘size’ to defend and can also get forward – remember his performance against Lazio 🙂 – Ntcham does need game time or we will loose him with the amount of games coming up we need to keep him so in a 3-5-2 line up he can play either side of brown – lets keep it simple
