NEIL LENNON joked James Forrest was raging with him during the Ross County game when the Celtic manager opted to substitute him in the second half when the game was at 6-0.

Forrest had got on the scoresheet and put in a top performance for the bhoys and Neil Lennon’s thinking must have been to keep the player injury free and fresh for Lazio on Thursday – but the player wasn’t happy.

“Jamesy was raging with me.” Lennon told Celtic TV. “Maybe not raging – Upset, he doesn’t get upset very often, he just wants to play

“When he’s in the mood, he’s a joy to watch – Hopefully he’s saved some of that for Thursday.”

Celtic smashed past Ross County to head back to the top of the SPFL after two weeks in the number two spot. It’s great to hear the players are not resting on their laurels and even though the club were 6-0 up Forrest wanted to keep going and strive for more.

We will need all our players to be in top form for the visit of Lazio on Thursday night. James will have to put in an energy zapping shift in order to get a positive result – he might just be thankful for the substitution if he can get among the goals against the Italians.
