Neil Lennon has given an update on the squad ahead of Saturday’s game against Hamilton and there’s one more squad injury we didn’t account for.
The Irishman has revealed Nir Bitton will be out for a couple of weeks after sustaining an injury at Ibrox. The Israeli came off during Celtic’s impressive win against Steven Gerrard’s men with Hatem being shuffled to centre back and Moritz Bauer making his debut for the club. Nir was brilliant during the Ibrox game and really led by example.
Nir hasn’t shook the injury off and will now be out of action. Jozo already being injured and Bitton playing more as a centre back means there’s less options for the backline. Ajer would be pushing it for a return on Saturday which could make debuts likely.
Lee O’Connor could make the squad. Hatem could play at centre back with Jullien and Moritz coming in at right back. The versatility of the squad could be key going forward.
