NEIL LENNON has confirmed Celtic have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ismaila Soro to Celtic and it should be concluded in the coming days.

The Irishman has been keen to add to his midfield options and told the media at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon that he expects the paper work to be done and things to be finalised shortly.

“I think a deal’s been agreed. We’re just waiting on the paperwork being done now, so hopefully that can be resolved over the next few days.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“He’s a good player. He’s strong and technically very good, quick across the ground and hungry. We’ve done a lot of work on him and Klimala. It’s good to get some fresh faces in the building.”

Soro will become Lenny’s second signing of the window. The Celtic manager wanted a minimum of two through the door during January and he’s at least got that.

Soro, 21, looks the part and someone the club can develop over the rest of this season and the years ahead.

He will not directly be known as a Scott Brown replacement but as good as the Celtic captain is playing right now, Celtic have to get their ducks in a row for the day the club legend hangs up his boots.

Celtic head into the game against Partick Thistle tomorrow where they’ll look to defend their Scottish Cup trophy and win it for the fourth time in a row.
