Neil Lennon has shot down claims Celtic had made an approach for Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar and put in a bid.

A Bratislava Director is quoted as saying Celtic made a bid but the Celtic manager 100% refits those claims.

When asked about the player the Celtic gaffer said there’d been no bid BUT that Andraz was an option the club were looking at.

“We haven’t made a bid. We’re looking at options going forward. But there’s been no bid from us.” Lenny told CelticTV.

“Yes.

“Depends if we make a bid for him, he’s an option”

The player was valued at around €7m by the club according to the same director who mentioned Celtic’s interest.

Andraz, 25, has scored 20 goals in 26 appearances for his club this term and is certainly someone Celtic should be looking at.

Neil Lennon has put a striker high on his agenda for the January window. Depending on Bratislava’s willingness to do business – it could be something Celtic explore.

Edouard has been carrying the can with Bayo and Leigh injures most of this season. Lewis Morgan has to play four goals up top when Eddy was out which tells its own story.
