The Celtic manager has confirmed he will be meeting up with the Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell and Head of football operations Nicky Hammond today ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.

Celtic are still very active in the market and want at least one face in the door today before the window slams shut.

Speaking after Celtic’s late win against St Johnstone — Neil Lennon confirmed he’s not done in the market AND he expects to meet up with the Celtic hierarchy to thrash out deadline day plans.

Asked if he was set to do business in the coming 24 hours, Lenny told SunSport: “Yeah.

“I think either way, we want to keep everybody but we do want to get a couple of players in if we can.

“But at least one.”

He added: “You can throw names at me all you like, you’re not going to a straight answer out of me!

“I’m sure I’ll meet with Peter (Lawwell) and Nick Hammond tomorrow and we’ll look over a few things.”

The club have been heavily linked with a move for Ac Milan’s Diego Laxalt overnight [Read More], but there could potential be more incomings.

Celtic fans are hopeful the club can continue to stave off interest in some of their top stars. Edouard, Ntcham, Ajer, Christie and Tom Togic have all been linked with a move away at various times this window. Keeping all of them would be quite the achievement.

We’ll know by this evening what we’re dealing with and by the time the Glasgow Derby comes around later this month – we should have a settled squad.

  1. You DON’T sell you star players on the final day. That is suicide. You have little or no chance of bringing in someone else. To be honest anyone watching the St Johnstone game who thought about buying Edourd will be looking elsewhere. He was rank and was rightly taken off. Wouldn’t get 50p for him after that display. Yes I know he is an excellent player and you can have off days but he has had three or four off days this season already. I would pick Griffiths and (Ajeti or Klimala) against Rangers and give Edourd a kick up the backside. You don’t play well then you don’t play. The lad Klimala looks a strong and tenacious player and is worthy of a shot in the team. Certainly showing more effort than Edourd at the moment as the second goal showed. Don’t get me wrong I am a big Eddy fan but if you are not doing it on the park you get howked just like any other player. The player doing the business are the ones a manger should play
