Neil Lennon might have to go into the Partick Thistle game this evening without some important players.

We all know the long term injured stars like Elhamed and Moi but during his pre-match press conference the Celtic manager revealed Kristoffer Ajer and James Forrest are struggling for fitness ahead of the tie.

“We have a few injuries, obviously Ryan is suspended. Elyounoussi and Elhamed they are still out, Elhamed, we still don’t know the extent. He picked up a groin injury again in Dubai so we’ll see how that goes along. Hopefully Moi (Elyounoussi) will be fit for the end of the month.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“Jamesy (Forrest) and Kris Ajer are doubts as well, we’ll monitor them today.”

If neither make it, Celtic have issues. Jozo has been training but is he fit enough to go?

Then there’s not many viable options past Janes at right wing. Neil Lennon could be forced to play an untried Shved if James doesn’t make it.

It’s less than ideal coming back from the winter break missing some of our top guys.

Lennon played a second string against Thistle at home in the League Cup and the bhoys blew them away in a five goal blitz so hopefully whoever he puts out can get the job done at Firhill.

8k Celtic fans have snapped up tickets for the Saturday evening game.
