NEIL LENNON has told the media that Imaila Soro is here to have a first team impact this season but is also one for the future.

The 21-year-old finally flew into Scotland on Monday and was training with his new teammates on Tuesday as he begins his four and a half year deal with the club.

Soro was Celtic’s second signing of the window with Patryk Klimala being the first to arrive.

Asked if Soro would go straight into the squad against St Johnstone of Wednesday night, and if he was a prospect rather than a first team option, Lennon told CelticTV:

“A bit of both, we’ll have to see what his conditioning is. He may need a week or two of adaption before we use him.”

Klimala went straight into the squad for the Partick Thistle game a couple of weeks back and got his first run out. Since then, he’s not featured but kept his place on the bench.

Soro just trained for the first time on Tuesday with the club, it’s very doubtful his turnaround time will facilitate a place in the squad on Wednesday evening.
