NEIL LENNON has more than hinted who he will be starting up front in today’s cup final.

Odsonne Edouard looks certain to start after what the Celtic manager said about the Frenchman in his pre-match press conference. Lenny believes Odsonne is a big game player and that will shine through today on the Hampden stage where over a year ago, he downed Hearts to land the treble treble.

There has been much debate about who deserves to start the game and Neil Lennon has given other strikers opportunities in the last week or so, however, the manager, as do a lot of the supporters, believe Eddy will come good.

The striker hasn’t had the best season for the club but it just takes one game for him to spark into life. The cup final presents a great opportunity for the Frenchman.

“These occasions bring the best out in Odsonne. He is a big-game player.” Neil Lennon told SunSport.

“That’s a great thing to have and it speaks volumes for his character as you forget how young he is.

“He is quality and is a real talismanic figure for us. If he is on song then we have a real chance of winning the Scottish Cup.

“Like the majority of the players, he misses the fans in the stadium at the moment.

“He’s an entertainer at the end of the day but he’s in a good position mentally and physically and, like the others, he’s had a good record in this competition.

“We are all looking for more of the same in the Cup Final.”

It has to be the strangest build-up to the most surreal Scottish Cup final in history. Played over seven months after it should have, with no fans in attendance.

Celtic will need to lift their game with Hearts looking to capitalise on any weakness we show on the day.
