NEIL LENNON has already confirmed the club has spoken to Olivier Ntcham’s representatives after comments made in the French media.

The player admitted he wanted to move on this summer and that playing in a poor quality league was hampering his development.

The midfielder didn’t have the best of seasons last term with injury and lack of form when he was playing. The last decent game Olivier had for Celtic was winning the Glasgow Derby back in September of last year.

His injury at Murrayfield against Hearts in the semi-final was the catalyst for Ryan Christie’s rise in a Celtic jersey.

Speaking about the current situation, Neil Lennon didn’t mince his words, confirmed talks with Ntcham’s reps and sent the warning he’s still very much under contract.

“Olivier should be talking to us before coming out with comments like that. It doesn’t look good for him.” He told RecordSport.

“For us, we sort of had half an idea he may be looking to move on but that should be kept private and we will discuss it when he comes back.

“We have already spoken to his representatives and will sit down with him.

“We hold all the cards here. As a manager, you don’t want to keep a player who isn’t happy but this hasn’t been driven by us. It’s been done by the individual

“When I speak to Olivier it will be done privately but you can imagine that we find the comments untimely and not particularly accurate.”

Ntcham is not currently with the squad after being allowed an extended break because he played for France Under21s at the Euros.
