CELTIC are considering ALL of their options as they look to add to their squad in the coming days and week.

One problem position for the club for the past year has been right back. Mikael Lustig has been the squad’s number one for a very long time but has been in decline for the last 18 months. The Swede is now out of contract and at the moment there’s no deal in place to keep him at the club.

Celtic only have one recognised right back in Anthony Ralston as they approach Champions League qualifiers in three weeks time.

This has the club looking at several right backs and reports in SunSport today include former Celtic star, Adam Matthews! The Welshman has been at Sunderland since leaving Celtic five years ago with loan moves to Bristol City in between times. His time at the Stadium of light has come to an end this summer after the Black Cats failed to gain promotion. The defender was on Championship wages in League one.

Now out of contract, Neil Lennon appears to be considering a play to bring the Barcelona beater back into the Celtic fold.

Matthews, 27, could be an interesting option.
